Efficiency Restoration

The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) determined years ago that HVAC-R units lose up to 30% efficiency over time due to the oil fouling. Our technology benefits both internal components and electrical consumption. Our proprietary technology works to immediately eliminate oil fouling and improve the kW/ton rating in any unit treated to a rating at or very near what it was when new. Our proprietary methods and circuitry to achieve equipment benefits such as a reduction of load start-up demand for power, an improvement of the load phase power factor and a reduction of line transient anomalies. This results in an overall savings of 10-30% off the current HVAC-R energy bill.

Unlike HVAC service companies, we specialize on the actual implementation and improved overall efficiency of the units restoring the capacity lost over time.

With a simple consultation we will be able to develop and implement a turn-key package that is tailored for your business.

Oil fouling of heat transfer surfaces of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, will cause a loss of about 7% efficiency the first year, 5% the second year and 2% per year the following years.” (per 1998 ASHRAE Handbook, Refrigeration, Chap. 2.9) Usually the efficiency degradation will peak between 20 & 30%.

Overview of the Power Conditioning Unit Technology

The Power Conditioning Unit is designed and built to provide reliable and sustainable power filtering, surge suppression and harmonic filtering in a single device. Working together as a system, the result of this Power Conditioning Unit (PCU) technology is greatly improved power quality to end user loads (i.e., rotating motors, compressors etc.). In addition, the 3- phase PCU is designed to work on any voltage, from 110V up through 480V. This sets Power Conditioning Unit PCU apart from all other previous products that typically address just one aspect of power line quality.

Power Conditioning Unit PCU also comes with special line filter conditioning features to reduce harmful anomalies and harmonics. CEMF’s (counter electromagnetic forces) are produced by inductive loads working in conjunction with power correction. Because excessive heat is the biggest enemy of nearly all types of equipment, by reducing the temperature of the downline operating motor by 3 – 5 degrees F on average, equipment life is extended up to 20% or more.

Power Conditioning Unit PCU also incorporates surge and transient voltage components with highly reliable, state- of-the-art voltage surge suppression components. These unique features attenuate (reduce) line noise and voltage spikes associated with surges and transients. Normally line transients and surges are dispersed as excess heat in the inductive loads, thereby shortening the service life and using more energy to run. Power Conditioning Unit PCU reduces this problem considerably. The PCU is installed in a static application having greater results and more protection for individual equipment. This is unlike most technology installed at the service entrance of a building.

Thermal Enhancement Technology

Before -Refrigeration systems rely on a refrigerant oil to lubricate its moving parts. Eventually this oil and other chemicals migrate through the system forming an insulative, non-conductive layer over the surface of the condensing and evaporator coils. -Over time this stagnant oil film build-up causes considerable reductions in efficiency and greatly increases maintenance costs. Through ongoing operation, this insulative layer continues to thicken causing an increased reduction in efficiency and greater energy consumption and can shorten compressor life. -Oil trapped in the system will Reduce System Efficiency, Cause the System to Work Harder, Cause it to Run Longer and Use More Energy, and Increases wear and tear.
After -Using the flow of refrigerant, the thermal enhancement tech. is designed to migrate into the system. By replacing the non-conductive layer of oil with highly charged thermo-conductive compounds, it effectively eliminates future build-up and dramatically increases Thermal Conductivity throughout the unit which lasts for the life of the system -The compounds integrated into the technology contain polarity. As we know heat is energy and energy can be made directional by another form of energy, which in the case of the thermal enhancement technology is the thermo-conductive compounds. -By acting as molecular fins, our technology attracts the heat from the refrigerant & conducts it through the metal at an accelerated rate therefore increasing the system’s capacity and reducing energy, resulting in more cooling action with less energy.
